QMF Award

QUALITY MANAGED FACILITIES (QMF) PRINCIPLES:

Quality Managed Facilities has been developed by the Centre for Facilities Management in response to a Facilities Management application of European Foundation of Quality Management’s (EFQM) Excellence Model. Quality in this context, refers to the appropriate balance between performance and need, and can only be understood with reference to the customers.

4FM is licensed to apply QMF in practice to assess service delivery excellence. 4FM provide support and training to organisations undertaking assessments, conduct assessments for QMF accreditation and facilitates a learning and sharing forum for QMF committed and accredited organisations.

A QMF Award is the result of assessing the service delivery excellence, in respect of customer, people, society, and performance results achieved through leadership, people, partnerships and resources aligned to a sound FM strategy that itself is aligned to the client’s business objectives.

QMF applies the following principles in the assessment:

  • Facilities add value to organisations and are aligned to strategic objectives
  • Excellent service is sustained and all customer needs anticipated
  • Responsible attitudes to society and environment are demonstrated
  • Relations with users ensure continuous improvement
  • Facilities teams are competent, qualified and well trained
  • Available resources are deployed to maximum benefit
  • Performance compares with the best
  • Recognition as an excellent enterprise and seen as market leader
