Keith

Martin Brown joined the construction industry in 1973 - during that dark period of three-day working weeks with national power rationing. Over the last 30 plus years he has gained experience in construction within the UK and overseas as a project manager prior to finding his vocation within the business improvement arena. For the last 5 years he has been very much involved within the facilities management aspects of our industry, with his main focus addressing collaboration and integration between design, construction and facilities management. To this end he has for the last two years chaired the influential becfm working-group (a collaborative exercise between Be and the Centre for Facilities Management)

Martin is an enthusiastic advocate of the EFQM Excellence Model as a framework for business improvement. He brings a strategic, holistic and mature approach to business improvement and development issues. This approach is soundly based on meeting and improving stakeholder objectives.

His current focus areas include

  • Collaborative working development and facilitation

  • Sustainable development

  • Integration of construction and facilities management

Following some thirty years experience in the UK and overseas construction and facilities management professions, Martin until very recently the Business Improvement Manager with Mowlem plc is now offering his experience and knowledge of construction management, facilities management, collaborative working, sustainability management, benchmarking and facilitation through Fairsnape Services and partner organisations.
