Dr. Sezgin Kaya is the Deputy Director of the Centre for Facilities Management based at the University of Salford. He has gained significant professional experience in managing several research projects in the UK and European Facilities Management market by providing knowledge and consultancy services to FM organisations for the cost saving, process improvement and strategic review of the procurement and contract structure. He has published numerous industry reports and market analysis. In 2005, he has been awarded his PhD on classification of FM organisations. He is the inventor of FMMatcmaker, an interactive software that finds the most similar FM organisations for benchmarking purposes.
He used to work as a project manager in Siemens Facility Management Services responsible for major capital projects and European benchmarking studies.
